Review #2 - Lady GaGa's The Remix

This little mini LP compilation between The Fame Monster and the Lady's untitled third album is a good club pleaser.

Things to know - Several editions of this exist (each with different tracks and artwork); it serves as a remix album/best of compilation; my review is for the physical edition of the album availible in the United States.

Anyways my review shall begin. The album offers a few remixes that are 'fan and club goer favorites' mixed by some of the best and current DJs and electronic music groups on the scene today. Such remixers are: Richard Vission, Passion Pit, Chew Fu and Stuart price among others.

The good thing about this compilation is the fact that the tracks included all feature a completely different tempo and style for each track as well as a few unreleased, official remixes not availible for download or on singles (LoveGame Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix feat Marilyn Manson & Dance In The Dark Monarchy 'Stylites' Remix). I'm also pleasantly surprised that the compilation features remixes by artists whom don't get nearly enough attention as they should, I'm looking at Chew Fu in particular.

Overall it's a fun listen, danceable and a decent tide over until GaGa's third LP, which is due out in sometime early 2011.

Rating - 8/10 (Good selection of tracks but nothing much new to be heard songwise)

Check Out - LoveGame (Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix feat. Marilyn Manson), Telephone (Passion Pit Remix feat. Beyonce) and Dance In The Dark (Monarchy 'Stylites' Remix)
